Summer’09 Semester Has Started

Our Summer’09 Semester has just started from today (17th May 2009). It is my 8th semester out of 12 semesters. In this semester I have taken the following courses:

1. Bangladesh Studies (3 Credits)
2. Business System Engineering (2 Credits)
3. Digital Signal Processing (3 Credits)
4. Digital Signal Processing Lab  (1 Credit)
5. Numerical Analysis (3 Credits)
6. Numerical Analysis Lab (1 Credit)

Total Credits: 13

During this semester Sunday  is the holyday of the weekend.

একা একা এই বেশ থাকা

আমার ফাইনাল পরীক্ষা শেষ হয়েছে গত ২রা মে। আজ ৬ই মে। সবাই ফাইনাল পরীক্ষার পর বাড়িতে যাই ঘুরতে। অথচ আমাকে পড়ে থাকতে হচ্ছে এখনো ঢাকায় একা। বাসায় কেউ নেয়। শুধু আমি একা। তবে একা থাকতে আমার মোটেও কষ্ট হচ্ছে না। দিব্যি কেটে যাচ্ছে আমার একাকিত্ব ভরা দিন গুলো। ইচ্ছে করলে পারতাম খালার বাসায় চলে যেতে। খুব একটা দূরে নয়। আবার ইচ্ছে করলেই যেতে পারতাম বন্ধুর বাসায়। থাকতে পারতাম যতদিন ইচ্ছে ততদিন। তবুও কেন যেন খুব একা থাকতে ইচ্ছে করছে। হয়তো আরো দু'তিনদিন থাকতে হবে একা। সারাদিন যখন আমার ছাত্রকে পড়াতে যাই তখন মুখ থেকে কথা বের হয়। তাছাড়া বাকিটা সময় কথা বলার মত কেউ নেয়। কথা বলছি অবস্য তবে সেটা মুখে নয়, এইযে হাতের দশটি আঙ্গুল নড়ে চড়ে কথা বলছে। চোখ দুটো মনিটরের সাথে কথা বলছে। মাঝে মাঝে নিজের সাথে নিজেই কথা বলছি মনে মনে।


সময় কাটানোর জন্য সারাদিন পড়ে থাকি ফেইসবুক এ। অপেক্ষায় থাকি বন্ধুদের জন্য। অপেক্ষা করি কারো কমেন্টস এর জন্য। ভাল লাগে অপেক্ষা করতে। অপেক্ষার প্রতিটি প্রহর আমি কল্পনার জগতে বসে কাটাই। কিছু কিছু মানুষের জন্য অপেক্ষা করতে খুব ভাল লাগে। ভাল লাগার মানুষগুলো কখন আসবে, কখন তাদের সাথে কথা বলব, এই সব চিন্তা ভাবনা করেই আমার দিনগুলো আমি খুব ভাল ভাবেই পার করছি।

Spring Semester Has Just Finished

আজ(২রা মে ২০০৯) আমার Spring'09 সেমিস্টার শেষ হল। Financial & Managerial Accounting পরীক্ষার মাধ্যমে শেষ হল সেমিস্টার। ২৫শে এপ্রিল থেকে শুরু হওয়া পরীক্ষা আজ শেষ হল। আসলে ফাইনাল পরীক্ষা ২৫শে এপ্রিল থেকে শুরু হলেও গত ১১ই এপ্রিল থেকে পরীক্ষার যেন একটা বন্যা বয়ে গেল। Class Test, Assignments, Presentations, Projects, Lab Finals উফ্! এত এত পরীক্ষা কিভাবে যে দিলাম আল্লাহ-ই ভাল জানে। ৯ থেকে ১২ই এপ্রিল ২০০৯ এ যে বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা হয়েছিল তাতে খুব খাটতে হয়েছিল। পড়ার এতটুকু সময় পাইনি। এমনকি আমাকে ক্লাসও মিস দিতে হয়েছিল। আর তাতেই তো যত বিপত্তি হল। ১১ই এপ্রিল ২টা Class Tests দিলাম কোনো রকম প্রিপারেশন ছাড়াই। তবুও ভালই হয়েছিল।

১৩ই এপ্রিলের পর যখন বস্তা খানিক পড়া জমে গিয়েছিল তখন তো আমি যেন আকাশ থেকে পড়লাম। সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত Library তে পড়াশুনা করে কোনো মতে সামলে নিয়েছিলাম। মিসড ক্লাস গুলো কাভার করতেই যা একটু সমস্যা হল।

অবশেষে সেমিস্টার ফাইনাল ভালই হল। ভাল রেসাল্ট আশা করছি।

DIU 1st National Debate Championship, 2009

Daffodil International University 1st National Debate Championship, 2009 (9th April, 2009 - 12th April, 2009) has started from today. Different universities from all over the country has come to this championship. About 23 universities is participating in this championship. Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, Jogonnath University, Khaleda Zia Medical College, Eden College, Islamic University of Technology, Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, United International University, Bangladesh Islamic University, Manarath International University and so on.

The opening is held at 10:30am and the chief guest was Mr. Suronjit Sen Gupta, MP. Aslo our VC Proffesor Aminul Islam, Pro VC Proffesor Sahajahan Mina, and other guests were in that openings.

This program is organized by Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIUDC). The Media partner of this championship are The Daily Somokal, Radio Amar, Star Campus and Channel One. Mojo is the sponsor for Bannar, Food, drinks and T-shirt of this championship.

By the way, I am member of DIUDC and in Office Management and Prize Giving Commetee of this championship.

Mid Term পরীক্ষা শেষ হল

আজ আমার Mid Term পরীক্ষা শেষ হল। শুরু হয়েছিল ১৮ই মার্চ, ২০০৯ এ। চার টা পরীক্ষা হল প্রতিটি ২৫ নম্বরের। সবগুলো পরীক্ষা ভালই হয়েছে। কিন্তু আজ শেষ পরীক্ষা মন মত ভাল হয়নি। অবস্য প্রস্তুতিও ভাল ছিল না। তাছাড়া এটা ছিল আমাদের ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং পড়ার বাইরের একটা বিষয়। ফিন্যান্সিয়াল এ্যান্ড ম্যানেজারিয়াল এ্যাকাউটিং। এটা হয়তো ২০/২২ পাব। তবে অন্য গুলোতে ২৪/২৫ পাওয়ার আশা আছে।

বনভোজন ২০০৯: নীলাবিথী

২২শে ফেব্রুয়ারী, ২০০৯ রবিবার। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনে এই প্রথম আমি বনভোজনে যাই। তাও আবার নিজের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে নয়। গিয়েছি অন্য একটা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে। মানারত আন্তর্জাতিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আমার ছোট মামা এবং আমার তিন ফ্রেন্ড পড়ে ইংরেজি বিভাগে। তাদের সাথেই বনভোজনে যাই গাজীপুরের নীলাবীথী নামক একটা শুটিং স্পটে।

মজার ব্যাপার হল আমি সম্পূর্ণ বিনা পয়সায় যাই সেই পিকনিক এ। ছোট মামা তার এক বন্ধুকে দিয়ে কিভাবে যেন ম্যানেজ করেছে। যাই হোক আমি তাদের সাথে পিকনিকে যাব এ ব্যাপারটি আমি জেনেছি ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারী রাত ১০:৩০টায়। তখন আমি রাস্তায় ছিলাম। আব্দুল্লাহ আবু সাঈদ (বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা) স্যারের সাথে সাক্ষাত করে বাসার দিকে আসছিলাম। তখন ছোট মামা ফোন করে বলল পিকনিক এ যাব কিনা। আমি রাজি হয়ে গেলাম এবং রাত ১১:৩০টায় একটা রিক্সা নিয়ে চলে গেলাম ধানমন্ডি থেকে মগবাজার ছোট মামার বাসায়।

সকাল সাড়ে ৬টায় আমি এবং ছোট মামা মানারত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দিকে রওনা হলাম। ওখানে ৮টা পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করতে হয়েছিল আমার ওই তিন বন্ধুদের জন্য। এরপর বাস ছাড়তে ছাড়তে সকাল সাড়ে ৯টা বাজিয়ে দিল।

পিকনিক স্পটে আমরা পৌঁছি প্রায় সকাল সাড়ে ১১টায়। জায়গা ছোট হলেও বেশ সুন্দর সাজানো গোছানো। ছোট ওই জায়গায় ছিল একটা রেস্ট হাউস, একটা ছোট পুকুর যার এপার থেকে ওপার পর্যন্ত একটা লৌহ ব্রীজ এবং তিনটি নৌকা। পাশেই ছিল একটা ছোট চিড়িয়াখানা। পুকুরের অপর পাশে ছিল একটি শালবন। পুকুর ও গেস্ট হাউসের মাঝেই ছিল একটা ছোট মাঠ। সবকিছু মিলিয়ে জায়গাটি খুবই সুন্দর ছিল।

আমি ও ছোট মামা প্রথমেই অনেকক্ষণ নৌকায় চড়লাম। ওখানে আমরা অনেক মজা করলাম। এরপর সবাই মিলে ঘুরে বেড়ালাম কিছুক্ষণ। এরপর দুপুরের খাবার খেয়ে বসে বসে ফান ইভেন্টস গুলো দেখলাম। এভাবে সন্ধ্যা ঘনিয়ে এল।

ফেরার পথে আমরা ফটো সেশন করলাম। এরপর বাসে উঠে চলে এলাম ঢাকায়। আসা যাওয়ার পথে বাসে প্রচুর গান হল। সবাই পুরো বাসটাই মাতিয়ে রাখল।

ঢাকায় আসতে আসতে রাত সাড়ে ৮টা বেজে গেল। সবার কাছ থেকে বিদায় নিয়ে আমি চলে এলাম বাসায়।

ওইদিনটি আমার জন্য স্মরণীয় দিন হয়ে থাকবে। খুব মজা করেছিলাম আমরা। আমার এখনো ওইদিনটিতে ফিরে যেতে ইচ্ছে করে।

প্রথম বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা

প্রথম বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায় আজ ১৯শে ফেব্রুয়ারি অংশ গ্রহণ করি। যদিও সেটি ছিল শুধুই একটি প্রস্তুতিমূলক বিতর্ক এবং এটি ছিল আমাদের বিতর্ক শেখারই একটি অংশ। এর আগে দুটি বারওয়ারী বিতর্ক করেছি দুটি কিন্তু সনাতন ধারার বিতর্ক এটাই ছিল প্রথম।

আজকের বিতর্কের বিষয় ছিল, “বিজ্ঞান আমাদের দিয়েছে বেগ, কেড়েছে আবেগ।” আজ বিষয়ের বিপক্ষে ছিল আমার অবস্থান। বিতর্কের বিষয় আমাদের দেয়া হয়েছিল মাত্র ২০ মিনিট আগে। তাই হয়তো খুব একটা যুক্তি আমরা খুঁজে পাইনি কিন্তু তবুও আজ আমরা জয়ি হই। আমাদের দলে আজ যারা যারা ছিল তারা হল: জয়ন্ত, আমি, চিশতি, মহুয়া ও রিফাত।

বিপক্ষ দলের প্রথমেই জয়ন্ত তার বক্তব্য দেওয়ার পর আমি আমার বক্তব্য পেশ করি। আমি মূলতঃ বিজ্ঞানের শুরুই যে আমাদের আবেগ, ইচ্ছা আর স্বপ্নকে বাস্তবায়নের জন্যই তৈরী সেই বিষয়ে আলোকপাত করি এবং কয়েকটি উদাহরণের মাধ্যমেই বোঝাতে চেয়েছি কিভাবে বিজ্ঞান আমাদের আবেগকে কেড়ে না নিয়ে আবেগকে বাড়িয়েছে। আমার সব কিছুই ঠিকই ছিল কিন্তু কেন জানি বলে ফেলাম বিজ্ঞানের ধ্বংস জজ্ঞের কথা। সেটাই ছিল আমার বড় ভুল। তা বাদে আমি ভালই বলেছিলাম।

যাই হোক, আজ যারা বিতর্ক করেছিল তাদের সকলেরই আজ ছিল প্রথম বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা। তাই আজ সবারই প্রচুর ভুল হওয়া সত্বেও আমরা সবাই খুব উপভোগ করলাম সেটি।

আমার নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা

আজ (১৮ই ফেব্রুয়ারি) আমার জীবনের এক নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা আমি অর্জন করেছি। যদিও এই অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জন করতে আমাকে আজ অনেক কষ্ট করতে হয়েছে তবুও আজ খুবই ভাল লাগছে। সেই সকাল থেকে বিকাল পর্যন্ত আজ শুধুই ঘুরেছি এক কলেজ/বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে অন্য কলেজ/বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। তার আগে বলে নেই, আমি সদ্য নবাগত একজন বিতার্কিক। মাত্র কদিন হল আমি ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি ডিবেটিং ক্লাবে নতুন যোগদান করেছি।

 আগামী ৫-৮ই মার্চ ২০০৯ আমাদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আয়োজন করতে যাচ্ছে প্রথম “ন্যাশনাল ডিবেট চ্যাম্পিয়নসিপ-২০০৯”। ঢাকা শহরের নাম করা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং কলেজ গুলো এতে অংশ নিচ্ছে। আমাদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অডিটরিয়াম এই অনুষ্ঠানটি আয়োজন করা হয়েছে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি ডিবেটিং ক্লাব এর উদ্যগে। সেই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নেওয়ার জন্য আমরা বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় গুলোতে আমন্ত্রন পত্র প্রেরণ করেছি। সেই কাজের অংশ হিসেবেই আজ আমাকে ঘুরতে হয়েছে ১০ টা কলেজ ও ইউনিভার্সিটিতে।

 প্রথমে সকাল ১০টায় আমি, দিপক ও চিশতি আমাদের ডিবেটিং ক্লাবের প্রেসিডেন্ট সুমন ভাইয়ের সাথে দেখা করি। তিনি আমাকে ও দিপককে ১০ চিঠি দিয়ে বলেন এগুলো যেন পৌঁছে দিয়ে আসি। তাই আমরা দুজনে বের হই সেই সব চিঠি নিয়ে। আমাদের হাতে পরেছিল ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল কলেজ, ঢাকা সিটি কলেজ, ঢাকা ইম্পিরিয়াল কলেজ, গার্হস্থ্য অর্থনীতি কলেজ, ইডেন মহিলা কলেজ, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ডিবেটিং সোসাইটি, ভিকারুন্নিসা নুন কলেজ, স্ট্যামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি, মতিঝিল আইডিয়াল কলেজ ও নটরডেম কলেজ।

Our University Has Been Attacked by Terrorist

Some terrorist attacked our university today about 1 pm.

Some students of Daffodil International University copied some papers from a photocopy shop beside the university campus. But the shop keeper demanded excessive money for that but students did not want to pay that. Then the both students and the shop keepers started quarreling. Hearing this our Teacher Dr. Golam Moula Chowdhury (Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology and Head, Dept. of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) came to controll our students and told them to calm down. But the shop keeper threads our teacher with hold his coller of his shirt. They also challenged that they would get fire our university within 40 minutes.

Insulting our honorable teacher was not tolerated by our students and they took position to hit the shop keeper and to teach him a lesson but the shop keeper had ran away before the students came. Excited students tried to break the shop and at time some teachers prevented them from it. Meanwhile, all students united and blocked the main roads for half an hour. Getting this information the local polices came and told the students to calm down and then students opened the road block.

At that time, some outer people (suspected that local terrorists) attacked to the polices from the side of students. The polices supposed that students attacked them and thus they tried to hit students via tear gas and with their bamboo. On the other hand, students were surprised for that behavior of polices and they also started hitting polices by stone. At least 15 students were injured and other 5 police men were injured in that clash. At last when polices understood the main reason they apologized for that accident and they hopeful to took action against the terrorist. The polices also thanked students not to damage the properties and any vehicles.

Spring 2009 Has started

I have started my new semester Spring 2009 on January 19, 2009. But unfortunately I could not attain the first class because I was in Chittagong on that time. 21^st January was my second class but missed this class again for getting late to reach Dhaka from Chittagong.

Anyway I took 14 credits this semester:

1. Microprocessor and Interfacing (3 Credits)
2. Microprocessor and Interfacing Lab (1 Credit)
3. Industrial and Power Electronics (3 Credits)
4. Industrial and Power Electronics Lab (1 Credit)
5. Communication Engineering (3 Credits)
6. Communication Engineering Lab (1 Credit)
7. Financial and Managerial Accounting (2 Credits)

Total Credits: 14

Fall, 2008 Semester Has Completed

My final exam of Fall 2008 was finished on January 11, 2009. It was my sixth semester out of twelve semesters. So, I completed 75 credits by this semester and 70 credits remain. This semester I completed:

1. Electronics III (3 Credits)
2. Electronics III Lab (1 Credit)
3. Digital Electronics II (3 Credits)
4. Digital Electronics II Lab (1 Credit)
5. Electromagnetic Fields and Waves (3 Credits)
6. Electrical Machine (3 Credits)

I got CGPA 3.89 (out of 4.00) in this semester. My next semester will start from 19^th January, 2009.

My Aunt Is No More!

My one of my aunt has gone today at afternoon, she is no more in the world (Inna-Lillahi-Owa-Inna-Ilaihi-Rajiun). She was my mom's eldest sister. She was suffering from Liver Cancer. Though I knew that she would not get well anymore. The doctor fixed up 2 months when she was brought to Dhaka for treatment. Her husband was died about 3 years ago and she left 3 sons and a daughter. All but the younger son got married.

We pray for her to Allah that she may live in Jannatul Ferdaous (Heaven) and may Allah makes her family patient.

I'm Going to Chittagong Today

I'm going to Chittagong today. At 11pm the train "Turna Express" will leave to Chittagong from Dhaka Railway Station. The train will reach to Chittagong Railway Station within 7 am. So, It may be 8 am to reach my home. I came to Dhaka after last Eid. It was 6th October, 2008.

I'll be back to Dhaka within 13th December, 2008. Then I've to prepare myself for my final exam. Our Final exam of Fall Semester will start from 3rd January, 2009. But 15th December - Electronics III Quiz, 17th December - Digital Electronics II Quiz, 22th December - Electronics III Lab Final, 24 December - Digital Electronics II Lab Final. Also From 14th December to 24 December - Presentation of Digital Electronics II, Electronics III, Electrical Machine, Electromagnetic Fields and Waves will be held. So the days after the Eid will be very important for me.

Midterm Exam of Fall '08

My midterm exam of Fall, 2008 will be started from today. 1st exam, Electrical Machine will be held at 11:30 am. The next exams will be held on 3rd November (Digital Electronics II, 2:30 pm), 5th November (Electronics II, 2:30 pm) and the final one on 8th November (Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, 2:30 pm).

My Today's Great Fault

Today I did a fault. I felt guilty for my fault.

At just before 1 pm we (Chisty, Mohua & I) got out from the lab class of Electronics II and were going to sit on chair just out side of the lab. There were many chaires to sit. Chisty was trying to sit on a chair and just that moment I pull out the chair from Chisty and the accident occured. Chisty injured in his back bone that when he had fallen. He, actually, didn't understood that I had pulled out the chair.
I, then, pulled up Chisty and made him sit on chair carefully but he moaned silently. Mohua was too much angry with me for that. At first, I laughed a little but after sometime I felt too sad for him. Then I brought him home and checked him out for injury. Then I came back to university.

From 2:30 pm, we had another class of Electromagnetic Fields and Waves. Chisty didn't attended to the class.

My Internet Life

I have come back to the Internet world again after a long time. It just little more than two months but I think it's very long time for me. Now I'll try to be regular in Internet.

More than 6 years ago, when I was first introduced myself with Internet, I didn't know anything of that even I didn't know what's the use of Internet. My friend Najmul, lives in Chittagong, introduced me with Internet and signed me up an email account skjh_jewel@yahoo.com. I use this email account still now. Using Internet that day I thought that Internet is used for downloading images, email and some ads. But gradually I invented that Internet was for all work. Music, movies, emails, images, jobs, ads even one can study through it. In word, Internet is the world of Informations.

I used Internet rarely. Sometimes I used Internet in cyber-cafe and sometimes in my friend Arman's home. With Arman I learnt more about Internet. Gmail came after few months and provided their limited services with few email account. Fortunately, I got an invitation from my friend Arman and I signed up my second email account skjh.jewel@gmail.com. And this one became my permanent email account that I still use it.

From February, 2008 I became the permanent user of Internet. But August, September, 2008 I detached from net because of changing of my home location and also because of my Semester Final. And now I'm back to the Internet world again. And want to do something creative things.

একটি শোক সংবাদ

পৃথিবীতে মানুষ আসে অতিথি হয়ে। সবাইকে  এক সময় না সময় চলে যেতে হবে। আমরাও চলে যাব এক সময়।

যাইহোক, গতকাল আমার এক বন্ধু রাসেলের নানী মারা গিয়েছেন (ইন্নালিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্নালিল্লাহি রাজিউন)। তিনি ছিলেন সারমিনের দাদি। তিনি  অনেক দিন যাবত অসুস্থ ছিলেন। ৫/৬ মাস আগে আমি তাকে দেখেছিলাম। তখনো তিনি অসুস্থ ছিলেন। 

আমরা সবাই তাঁর বিদেহি আত্মার শান্তি কামনা করছি।  আল্লাহ তাঁকে জান্নাত বাসি করুন। (আমিন)

My Busy Time

I am passing too much busy time now. 8:30am to 4pm I am to stay at varsity. All course teacher is taken their class test and 3 labs is continuing every week. I am to complete my Lab Reports, Assignments, to study for quizes and thus I do not get extra time for entertainment. Again, it is gone to teach my student as a home tuitor. I loss more than about 3 hours for this. My mid term exam will start from 29th June.
