Short Story - My Fault

I was startled to hear that from the doctor. My knees felt weak and I could not hold myself. I sat down to the bench and thought about what I did. How could I do that? How could I kill a youth? I did not know. I still feel guilty for killing the young boy. It will make me cry silently forever.

The train was running. I was going to Chittagong form Dhaka. When the train reached to Dhaka Airport Junction I young boy got into the train and sat by me. He looked smart and also stylish. Anyway, sitting his seat he friendly greeted me, "Hi, I'm Opu."

"Hi, I’m Shuvo." I also welcomed him, "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too." He asked me, "Are you going to Chittagong?"

I replied, "Yea. I think you are also going there."

He replied affirmatively and we talked each other whole the way. He became one of my friends. Opu was a nice guy though he looked rough. He was as brilliant as intelligent. Anyone would impress with him.

The train suddenly stopped in a station though it sometimes took break in many junctions but then it stopped that station for a long time. I felt annoyed for such a condition. I got out from the train and bought a cigarette to smoke. Opu also came out with me and he asked me, “Hey man! Are you a smoker?”

“Not really!” I shamed, “But I smoke when I am angry.”

“That means you are angry now. But for what?”

“Why shouldn’t I be angry? A boring journey and hang out in a station for a long time also. Is it tolerable?”

“O! Sorry to supposed you a smoker.”

“No matter! Have smoke?” I offered him to smoke.

Opu smiled and said, “O! I don’t smoke. Thank you.”

I also smiled to hear it and asked him, “Have you ever smoked cigarette?”

“No.”

“Comon man! Let’s have a cigarette. It’ll feel better as I think in the cold environment”

He felt shy and smiled. At first he refused for sometime but I compelled him a bit. However, He had to have cigarette for the first time. At first he coughed a little but after a while he felt better and continued his smoking. It’s unbelievable that he completed more than a 10 cigarettes within a couple of hours. Firstly I did not say anything for that but when he had more and more I try to stop him and said, “Look! Cigarette may be smoked for a certain reason but you have to avoid it. You should not take any more.”
He felt shy and stopped smoking.

The train, however, started to run again after couple of hours and we came to know that an accident was occurred in Comilla in the morning. We gossiped all the way on the train. It was about late night when we reached Chittagong station. I bade him good bye and I invited him to my home on Eid Day.

After a week, during Eid day Opu came to my home and we pass our Eid together. But I felt that something was happened to him. He looked very gloomy and his face became harsh and he was not so happy like before. The whole day we visited many places. I introduced Opu with my other friends. We enjoyed the Eid very well but I still pointed that Opu was not like the person whom I met in the train last week.

“Are you okay?” I asked Opu.

“Hm!” He surprised, “O! Yea.”

He then lighted a cigarette. I observed that he smoked cigarette as like a series smoker.

“Are you became a regular smoker?” I asked him again.

He smiled a bit but did not reply. I said him, “Look! Don’t smoke for fashion. It’s not a style though most people think like that. You should avoid it.”

He looked at me with big eye. It looked like he became angry with me. He stopped saying something that he wanted to say.

“I think you don’t feel good. Better you should go home.” I added, “And please don’t hesitated to say anything that you need.”

“Ok.”

He went away. I think he forgot to bid me bye. I understood that something was wrong.

Two years passed away. One day I phoned Opu and wanted to contact with him but he refused. Thus the more I phoned him the more he refused me. However, I went to Opu’s home and see an unexpected thing. Opu became addicted to smoking hemp. I scolded him a lot to smoking hemp. But he frequently said to me to get out from his home. He behaved me very bad as a result I slapped him. Opu started to cry and said to, “Shuvo, please save me!” He embraced me and started to cry loudly, “I can’t bear it anymore. Why did you make a smoker?”

I hardened to hear like that. I lost my speech to say something. I just consoled him with rubbing his back.

“Opu, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I didn’t think like that before.” I suggested him, “Let’s go to doctor. Don’t worry. You will be fine.”

I took Opu to medical and then I came to know that Opu was addicted dangerous intoxicating drugs and he became a serious drug addicted person. Doctor suggested me to admit him in a Drag Addiction Recovery Hospital immediately. I, then, informed Opu’s parents and admitted him hospital.

For three days, Opu was in hospital. I could not sleep at night. I always thought that Opu became drug addicted only for me. If I were not offered him cigarette he never be like this. Opu’s parents when asked me that how Opu was addicted then I could not say anything. But I felt better to admit him hospital when the doctor said that he would be fine with in couple of months. I went to sleep thinking like this.

My phone was ringing. I got up and watched my watch. It was 3 o’clock at night. I picked up the phone and said, “Hello.”

“Shuvo, come immediately to hospital.” Opu’s father said to me with fear.

“Why uncle? What’s happen?” I asked.

“Opu is seriously injured. Please come to hospital.” He replied.

I got up and dressed only with a T shirt and a short pant. It was hard to find out any medium of transport. I had to wait for half an hours and I got a rickshaw from rickshaw garage and hired it with a high price. I reached hospital at 3:50 at night. Opu’s father was walking outside the operation theater. I asked him, “What happened?”

“Opu injured himself with glasses.” He replied and cried.

“But why uncle?”

“Doctor said that he felt so bad for drugs that he could not tolerate and injured himself by breaking the water glass up. It is bleed so much.”

Doctor came out from the operation theater. He looked very gloomy. I came to the doctor and asked him afflicted with a fear, "How is Opu, Doctor?”

The doctor said hesitantly, "We are sorry to say that he's gone to coma."

A Boy From Tea House

I was too much surprised to see him. Really it was too much unbelievable day for me. I never expected it. How is it possible! I ask myself but did not get any solution.

My father was a government officer that he often transferred from one place to another. For that reason I also had to transfer myself to different school almost every year. Transferring different school I met many new people every years and I made few friends where I went.

It was about 12 years ago when I was in class seven. My father was the Magistrate of Comilla. As usual I admitted myself to Comilla Jilla School in class seven. We got into a government quarter in Comilla. The area was so nice that I listed the place in my favorite one. In that quarter other government stuff lived. From them I chose few friends but only a good friend named Joy, also read with me in Comilla Jilla School. He was so talent that he always stood 3rd or 4th in class. I started to pass my all the time with him. We always studied, went out for walk, played games etc all that things together. Just outside of our quarter a tea house was situated where we often passed our leisure time by gossiping. We discussed about our many problems, assignments, sometimes talked about girls or many other unnecessary things. The tea house was directed by a young man Kobir and 3/4 stuff aged from 16 to 25.

One day, Joy and I were solving a difficult mathematics in that tea house but we could not make it anyway. I, then, ordered for two cold drinks for us to cool our brain. A boy, perhaps was 16 years old, delivered us two cold drinks and we again tried to solve the math. Oh! It was so disgusting for us but we would submit the math on next day. When we were just busy with our problem, that stuff came to our table and gave me a paper contained something written on it. I was too much surprised to see the paper and could not say anything for a while. I just looked over the piece of paper. It was the solution of the math that we were trying for an hour.

"How did you do that?” I shouted.

"Actually it is not so hard calculation.” He said. “But you both were trying this in hard way.”

“Oh! It’s really so easy!” I shamed, “But why didn’t we solve this?”

He replied, “Sometimes our brain try to calculate an easy thing by a hard way. It happens when we think about the matter to be hard without analyzing it. As a result, an idea of it just hangs our brain and prevents the brain to think it easily.” He added, “If we think about all the hard things that they are easy for me, then our brain can solve the problems. That means we should be confident.”

We became soundless to hear this from the boy. We could not believe that he was a stuff of that tea house. He talked as if he was a teacher but we did not know how it was possible.

“How did you talk like this?” Joy asked the boy.

The boy smiled a little and shamed a bit, “I read in a night school after the work. I’m in class nine though it isn’t an ideal school like you read in.”

Then we talked to him for several hours though sometimes he had to go to take the order that the customers arrived in tea house. We came to know about him. His name was Milon and he had lost his father before his born and his mother when he was born. Then his uncle took care of him who also had been died for 4 years. Till then he was in that tea house.

We made a good friendship with Milon within a few days. Milon always help us in our study and other activities.

Time and tide wait for none. I shifted to Chittagong when I was just in class eight as my father again transferred to Chittagong. Thus, 12 years has gone. I have completed my B. Sc. Engineering Degree and I am working in a Telecom Company. Sometimes I need to go to outside of Dhaka for new project in my telecom sector.

I came to Chittagong with a big project that may last three months. My company reserved a guest house for me in Agrabad. The next day I had a meeting with the agent of a Telecom Company that came from Malaysia. The chief Engineer of that Telecom Company Mr. Sajjad Hossain met me on this meeting and we finished our all preliminary works and meetings well. That day Mr. Sajjad Hossain invited me to dinner and I agreed with a little smile.

“How are you Shuvo?” Mr. Sajjad Hossain asked me at the dinner.

I was surprised to hear it that he knew my nick name. Because all the people know myself as MD. Sabbir Ahmed. Lately with surprised I reply, “I… I’m fine. But… but…”

“But how did I know your nick name, isn’t it?” He again asked me and smiled.

“Yes, Sir!” I replied with a little bit hesitation.

“Don’t you remember me? Comilla… A tea house… The stuff…”

The Story of U & Me

Writer: Unknown
Collected From: Wattpad.com

[The story that u are about to witness is based on a true story. For the sake of privacy I have avoided usage of any names of the people involving in the story.

The story is not a copy of any material published before but u may notice that some of the main key points are not new as this is a love story involving true love and sacrifices being carried out to achieve it. Yet I have added few spices to maintain the quality and climax of the story and this story is not written to offend any person. I hope that this story would be a great one for all the readers]

THE STORY OF
U & ME

Once upon a time there was a boy and a girl. A boy and a girl full of hopes for their life. They both had so many dreams for their future.

The story begins from the time both the boy and the girl came across each other in life. From the time the boy saw the girl he realized that he had fallen in love with her. At the time he never realized how catastrophic was it to fall in love and loosing it. Never realized that it would make him undergo so many circumstances where his heart will break so frequently that he would loose hope in relationships.

Poor guy had no choice when he saw those cute eyes, that lovely face; that long black shiny hair gave him no more options but to fall in love with her. He might have thought love was sweeter than anything. For the boy he never realized that the girl could be so cute when he first met her over the internet.

The boy talked to her on anyway he could. On MSN, on the phone or even cant stay without texting her. What made this happen? Why was it so easy for the boy to fall for her? Well the reason behind was that the girl was even charming in the inside. Her caring and loving way of communicating proved the kindness and how big her heart was.

Seeing her first time on that unforgettable night on that fair catalyzed his love. It wasn't just seeing but it was the realization of how beautiful she was. She was so adorable that night her picture found its way glued in the boy's heart forever. She was almost like an angel, had everything what the boy wanted for a girl to have. Amazing height, irresistible beauty, lovable figure and above those she looked more beautiful in the inside....

Surely the boy who wins her would surely be a lucky guy, perhaps the one of the luckiest guy in the whole wide world. Seeing her made the boy forget how unlucky his life had been. To be true he was one of the unluckiest boys in this world. His rate of success was almost zero in life. He failed more than that of he succeeds. Yet everyone had the right to love no matter lucky or not-lucky

After meeting her on that unforgetful night, fate had a lot more for the pair. And it was all fate that was behind their next meeting. It was all co-incidences that made them to come across once again in tutions.

Guess what happened next? The boy realized that she didn't look so beautiful after all. As if it wasn't the image he was expecting to see. He felt a bit disappointed. But in that very instant his heart hinted him that he didn't love her for how she looked like. It reminded him that he loved her for what she was, for what she was in the inside.

Then he came to his senses and promised himself that he would continue to love her as before. Yet he never imagined loving someone and loosing her was so disastrous. How much it could mislead his life. Well the story goes on.

Meeting on tutions, the boys love for the girl went so far that he just couldn't stop dreaming of her. Everywhere he looked it was her image present. That angel like eyes, that cute face went everywhere he went. He came to know that how hard it was and would be to live without her.

He had gone for girls before but never felt this much. As he knew love happens once in life and his love is already happening. To be true his previous attempts on girls ended in failure. He thought that she the girl will put an end to his legacy of failures.

The boy started to spend more and more time with the girl developing the wrong thought that she had also fallen for him. Yet he never realized that the girl had nothing for him in her heart. How unlucky can he get? Well one night the girl just poured it on.

She revealed that she never loved him a single bit. The boy was really sad and Heart broken to hear the truth. He cried a lot for it but every time he thought of giving up his subconscious would say to him 'why the hell are u giving up on such a simple thing.' Those words always gave the boy the hope, the strength to wipe out his tears, gave him confidence to continue on the race. He knew that his love for the girl was too strong to give up on such a thing.

As days passed the boy knew that he wasn't the only one after the girl. Yet he was confident no one else loved her more than him.

By now the girl had told the boy that she would think of a relationship after the school. So the days went. Both the boy and the girl came very close and once again the dumb stupid boy came up with the wrong thought. He wasn't chosen and he was never going to be her choice and it was the boy to be left out all alone with a broken heart.

He was really sad after what happened. He loved her so truly, so purely and look at what he got in return. He was left out with a broken heart. The boy suffered a lot after his catastrophic loss. He knew none could love her as much as he did.

The boy won't forget that night as for surely it has been carved in his heart as a night of failure. It was the night that he had to accept the truth though he didn't wanted to. It was cold and wet that night when the boy decided to go to the girl to make sure that he saw her decision with his own eyes.

His heart just couldn't believe it when she said that she cannot accept his offer. It was a rainy night indeed. Yet rain or thunder it won't stop that boy, struggling with everything he had to reach his destiny.

Though it was raining the boy decided to go and see the truth himself and so was he rewarded to see the girl whom he loved as if his own eyes stuck up with another guy.

The girl smiled as if for her it was like a big feast of joy taking place around her. Never had the time to think how sorrowful it would be to see her like that.

There was nothing for the boy to ask about as everything was clearly displayed in front of his very own eyes. He gave a sad look. He couldn't say much other than to repeat the word 'please', hoping that she could get the picture that how heart broken he was. 'Please don't do this...please don't bring down my destiny...please don throw my dreams in to fire...' his heart cried silently inside him.

Knowing that no more to see from his dearest beloved darling he turned back with his eyes filled with tears of sorrow. He walked a bit slowly and paused his motions and turned back as there might still be a chance.

When he turned around he felt sadder as the girl had disappeared. The boy couldn't hold back his tears. They came right down from his eyes so was his dreams and his destiny. He slowly walked home in the pouring rain soaking all wet with no more hope to live up to, no more destiny in front him, no more goals to achieve and no more aims to fight for. His body was worn out with this huge failure in his life. His confidence drained up as all his strength was drawn out of him.

It was now only when he came to realize how unlucky he was. How damn F***ing was his life.

Look at the reward the boy got when he loved the girl so much, so truly so purely. What did he get in return? A broken heart? Yes. A broken heart and an un-ending chain of suffering and confusion. Is this justice? Is this the way it should be? Well the girl might have thought this is justice. What does she care? After all she has found her oasis so what the hell she care of the boy.

The rain poured on to the boy but for him it was like fire burning him down. Yet there was nothing but love inside the boy's heart for the girl though she punished him severely for loving her truly. Still the boy didn't give up. He knew that one day the girl would realize that she should have loved him for he loved her so truly, so purely from the bottom of his heart.

This incident really changed the boy a lot, both mentally and physically. I don't mean that he went out of the boundaries of sanity but his confidence for him self was as good as gone. He kept all day silent and he was almost uncommunicative as his silence represented how hurt he was. Now he wanted to be ignored buy everyone and to get lost in the crowds so that there won't be anyone pitying on him.

Guess what happened to the girl. She couldn't live on with the relationship for just 10 days. If only she had chosen the boy. It won't be just 10 days or 10 years. But it would mean life time. Yet she hardly remembers about the boy in fact she doesn't even remember the boy loved her. Irritating isn't It?

It's more irritating to know that the girl never even wanted to see how the boy lived. How much he suffered.

Yet they still talked. When the boy came to know that the relationship of the girl and her guy ended the boy decided to give it another try. Once again he told the girl how much he needed but when she heard this she just gets mad as if those words meant her nothing but rubbish. For her love doesn't even exist.

Poor guy, how unlucky he really was. To fall in love with someone who doesn't even believe in love. It never was easy to fall out of love though it's so easy to fall in love.

Maybe he should have realized how unlucky he was a little earlier, how can such a beautiful girl fall for such a pathetic looking guy like him or maybe the boy couldn't express his love the right way. That's why maybe the girl couldn't understand his love. So people don't hesitate to tell out your feelings. It could be too late. The boy may not have another chance but u may have.

For me I didn't write this story to gain any fame or riches. Just for two reasons. First is to tell the girl in this story how much the boy in this story needs her and how much he loves her. The boy loves u dearly.

The second reason is just to tell the girl whom I truly loved, That I will neither forget you nor stop loving you. I lost her because I too couldn't express my self to her that's why I wrote this story just to tell her I LOVE U. and I'm very sure that I will meet her again. Life is a long while. Who Knows what will happen tomorrow...................

THE STORY DOESN'T END FROM HERE. IT STILL GOES ON....

A Silent Love :: Short Love Stories

A Silent Love

From the very Beginning, the girl's family objected strongly on her dating this guy. Saying that it has got to do with family background and that the girl will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him.

Due to family's pressure, the couple quarrel very often. Though the girl love the guy deeply, but she always ask him: "How deep is your love for me?"
As the guy is not good with his words, this often causes the girl to be very upset. With that and the family's pressure, the girl often vents her anger on him. As for him, he only endures it in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduated & decided to further his studies in overseas. Before leaving, he proposed to the girl: "I'm not very good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I'll try my best to talk them round. Will you marry me?"
The girl agreed, and with the guy's determination, the family finally gave in and agreed to let them get married. So before he leaves, they got engaged.
The girl went out to the working society, whereas the guy was overseas, continuing his studies. They sent their love through emails & phone calls. Though it's hard, but both never thought of giving up.

One day, while the girl was on her way to work, she was knocked down by a car that lost control. When she woke up, she saw her parents beside her bed. She realized that she was badly injured. Seeing her mum crying, she wanted to comfort her. But she realized that all that could come out of her mouth was just a sigh. She has lost her voice......
The doctor says that the impact on her brain has caused her to lose her voice. Listening to her parents' comfort, but with nothing coming out from her, she broke down.
During the stay in hospital, besides silence cry, it’s still just silence cry that companied her. Upon reaching home, everything seems to be the same except for the ringing tone of the phone, which pierced into her heart every time it rang. She does not wish to let the guy know & not wanting to be a burden to him, she wrote a letter to him saying that she does not wish to wait any longer.
With that, she sent the ring back to him. In return, the guy sent millions and millions of reply, and countless of phone calls, all the girl could do, besides crying, is still crying....
The parents decided to move away, hoping that she could eventually forget everything and be happy.

With a new environment, the girl learns sign language & started a new life. Telling herself everyday that she must forget the guy. One day, her friend came and told her that he's back. She asked her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there wasn't anymore news of him.

A year has passed & her friend came with an envelope, containing an invitation card for the guy's wedding. The girl was shattered. When she opens the letter, she saw her name in it instead.
When she was about to ask her friend what's going on, she saw the guy standing in front of her. He used sign language telling her "I've spent a year's time to learn sign language. Just to let you know that I've not forgotten our promise. Let me have the chance to be your voice. I Love You. With that, he slipped the ring back into her finger. The girl finally smiled.
